For 4 years we have been working on creating a network of trails, now about 8 miles in total, throughout the 400 acres of Milima Ranch, providing an otherwise impossible glimpse of the hidden beauty deep within the coves and up to the panoramic views of the rolling Appalachian ranges.
The well-marked trails originate from the cabins at an elevation of 3200 feet ascending to 4200 feet, from east ridge to west ridge, spanning 3 coves and 3 named streams which feed into the Pigeon River. The pristine forests provide an abundance of wild flowers, rare plants, a healthy presence of wildlife and many spectacular view sheds offering a place to pause and enjoy the serenity of this magnificent mountain property.
To make for a pleasurable hiking experience many enhancements have been added not only to the trails such as bridges, steps and picnic spots, but also to aid in an overview of the property’s trails with the addition of detailed maps and an app which brings great situational awareness.
This is the easiest trail, a good introduction to the forest and elevation change.
